Erasure’s frontman Andy Bell has claimed he refused to have sex with an alien because he is gay.

The out ‘Love to Hate You’ singer – and former Attitude Award winner – believes 1,000 spaceships and flying angels appeared in the sky back in March and offered him the chance to have sex with a ‘one tentacled’ alien.

However, Bell decided to refuse the request because aliens are ‘all sexualities’ and he didn’t want to be with a woman.

Telling the Daily Star, Bell said: “One of the angels asked whether I would like to experience what it would be like to make love to an alien, but I just thought, ‘No’.

“I just thought I’m not quite ready for it yet, because they are all sexualities, all together, all mixed up, and they’ve got like one tentacle.

“The thing that stopped me from doing it is because I say that I’m gay and their sexual experience is neither gay nor straight, female nor male, it’s all mixed up together.

“I didn’t want to go with a woman. That’s just how I am.”

Bell – who is living with HIV – has never hid his sexuality and would often get up on stage in a tutu and fetish wear to proudly declare his sexuality to huge crowds of people around the world.
