Exclusive: Paloma Faith’s ‘Warrior’ video is a powerful, politically-charged call-to-arms
LGBT activists feature alongside other inspirational change-makers in defiant new video for the Sia-penned track.

In a world that feels increasingly divided, Paloma Faith is making a powerful statement about strength, solidarity and survival through her music.
The outspoken singer and former Attitude Award winner, 37, has used the video for new single ‘Warrior’ to shine a light on a variety of human rights campaigners who’ve dedicated their lives to making the world a better and more accepting place.
Among them are LGBT activists Owen Jones, author of Chavs; Jordan Gray, the first transgender singer to appear on The Voice UK; and actor and playwright Rikki Beadle-Blair.
“I’ve always been a fighter and gravity leads other fighters to me.” says Paloma.
“Sometimes I am moved to tears by the power of humanity. Our capacity to fight and to survive astounds me.

“In this video Thomas James and I asked some incredible people we know or have met who have either fought against all odds for what they believe to be right for the greater good or survived the most profoundly heart wrenching obstacles.
“The video is meant to be a testament to the human spirit.”
‘Warrior’ – the fourth single to be lifted from Faith’s platinum-selling fourth album The Architect – was penned by Australian singer Sia, and Paloma says she was moved to breaking with tradition and recording a song written by another artist after hearing the track’s powerful lyrics.
“I normally won’t sing songs written by other people but when I heard ‘Warrior’ I was doing some work with Help Refugees and the lyrics rang true to me,” Faith says.
“I haven’t asked Sia what she had in mind but to me it’s about the refugee crisis. I should ask her!”
