Ezra Miller puts his own queer spin on The Pussycat Dolls’ ‘Don’t Cha’
The actor's band Sons of an Illustrious Father have released a haunting cover of the 2005 pop classic.

Ezra Miller loves nothing more to wrong-foot the watching world, and the Fantastic Beasts star has subverted our expectations with a haunting cover of The Pussycat Dolls’ ‘Don’t Cha’.
The 26-year-old’s band Sons of an Illustrious Father have released their own unnerving version of the 2005 classic, which, as bandmember Josh Aubin explained to Another Man Mag, is designed to turn “a gross pop song” into “a celebration of queerness”.
Bandmate Lilah Larson added that the idea behind the track came to the group after hearing the original at a queer night in Nashville that was flooded with gawping heterosexuals.
Larson explained the idea was to to take the song’s “very destructive, dated, distinctly heterosexual male perspective on women and discourses of desire” sand “ridicule and invert that mentality, while also absolutely celebrating the genuine pleasure possible in being an object of desire”.
