Fans praise She Hulk’s Tatiana Maslany for trans support: ‘you couldn’t ask for a better LGBTQ ally’

The actress has been seen wearing a jumper with the message ‘Support Trans Future’ in promos.

Fans have been extensive in their praise for Tatiana Maslany, star of the upcoming MCU show She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, for her fashion choice during recent press junkets.

In interviews for the upcoming Marvel show, Maslany wore a cropped white jumper with ‘Support Trans Futures’ written in bold across the chest. 

“I’m aware of what reach images like that have,” she told the Los Angeles Times (9 August).

“I know how little it costs me to do something like that” she adds. “I’m incredibly privileged and I’m very fortunate to have the platform I do.”

The 36-year-old actor continued: “And I’m very supportive of people who are fighting on the ground for LGBTQ rights. That community means a lot to me and if there’s any way that I can continue to voice my allyship then I’ll do it.”

The MCU series She-Hulk: Attorney At Law captures Jennifer Walters (Maslany) navigating life as a single 30-something attorney who also becomes a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered Hulk.

Following Maslany’s appearance in the ‘Support Trans Futures’ jumper, fans shared their love for the actor.

“Tatiana Maslany is a true hero wearing Trans Lives matter shirts you couldn’t ask for a better LGBTQ ally,” one fan tweeted. 

Another praised Maslany for her open and very public context of her declaration: “I thought it was just in behind-the-scenes featurettes where Tatiana Maslany was wearing her Support Trans Futures shirt but here it is in the mainstream ad on the official Twitter account for [She-Hulk] and frankly that makes her the best MCU hero yet. Millions have seen this!”

“Tatiana Maslany doing official She-Hulk promo videos in a ‘support trans lives’ shirt makes me love her even more than I already did,” another fan shared. 

 She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is streaming on 17 August on Disney+.
