Fergie: ‘My new solo album is coming soon’
By Josh Haggis
Fergie has confirmed that she is working on a new solo album.
During an appearance on US late-night chat show Chelsea Lately earlier this week (August 14), the singer said that she is hard at work on her first solo album in eight years, and added that it wouldn’t feature appearances from Will.i.am or any of her Black Eyed Peas bandmates.
“It’s coming, it’s coming. It’s a solo album,” she told Lately host Chelsea Handler, before going on to confirm that she will tour in support of the forthcoming album.
Fergie’s 2006 debut solo album, The Dutchess, reached number two on the US Billboard 200 albums chart and spawned the hit singles London Bridge, Fergalicious, Glamorous and the Grammy-nominated Big Girls Don’t Cry (Personal).
She also released A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got) from The Great Gatsby soundtrack last year.
