With All Stars 4 kicking in to high gear and a British version of Drag Race currently in the works at BBC Three, drag fever is officially set to reach a new peak in 2019.
Even better then, that some of the show’s biggest superstars will be heading to the UK this spring for the official RuPaul’s Drag Race ‘Werq The World Tour’ – and tickets are on sale now.
All your faves – including Aquaria, Asia O’Hara, Detox, Eureka O’hara, Kameron Michaels, Kim Chi, Monét X Change, Naomi Smalls, Sharon Needles and Violet Chachki – will be putting on a sickening display at arenas around the UK and Ireland in May.
Show judge Michelle Visage is set to host as the all-new production follows the team of intergalactic queens the audience through the universe for a dynamic display of lewks, lights and lip-syncs. Yes gawd.
The ‘Werq The World Tour’ will arrive in Birmingham on 3 May, before heading to Sunderland, Edinburgh, Belfast and Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin and Cardiff – and the annual drag bonanza will also include its biggest show yet at London’s Wembley Arena on 11 May.
“Werq the World is the official Drag Race tour for a reason,” says Visage.
“The show has always been a theatrical production of the highest caliber but in 2019, we’re stepping it up into the stratosphere. This show is going to leave fans gagging and I’m not afraid to say that my performance, in particular, will give you life.”
Show producer Brandon Vossadds: “This is the biggest, most elaborate production we have ever created. The music, sets, fashion, choreography and lighting are all a cosmic feast for the senses.
“Audiences will be in awe as their favorite queens come together on some incredible numbers.”
