Former Britain’s Got Talent star Ronan Parke is back with new single ‘No Love (Like First Love)’ – WATCH
By Will Stroude
His Britain’s Got Talent audition performance of ‘Feeling Good’ has racked up a mammoth 50 million views, and seven years after his run to the final of the ITV talent competition as a 12-year-old, Ronan Parke is launching a fresh assault on the charts as an adult.
After memorably impressive the judges with his unexpectedly big voice, Parke, now 19, eventually finished as runner-up on the fifth series of BGT back in 2011.
The Norfolk-born singer went on to release a single – a cover of Vanessa Carlton’s ‘A Thousand Miles’ – and a self-titled album shortly after this show’s end, but later returned to school to finish his studies.
Now, he’s back with his first single in four years, the anthemic ‘No Love (Like First Love)’.
The video for piano-led dance-pop number sees a grown-up Ronan singing around the streets of London’s Soho, and his pipes remains every bit as impressive as when he first wowed audiences on BGT.
Prior to the song’s release last Friday (August 4), Parke took to Instagram to thank fans for their support during his time away from the spotlight.
“I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to each and every one of you who has supported me over the last 8 years”, he wrote.
“I am so incredibly excited to start sharing this new music with you all, starting tomorrow with my new single.”
The former child star continued: “I hope you’ll love it and realise that none of this or the expeirences I’ve had so far would have happened with your support, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
