It’s truly love in the time of coronavirus as Ben Platt and Noah Galvin have revealed they are an item.
The former stars of Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen, both 26, have confirmed they are dating after first arousing suspicions back in March when they shared posts on social media showing them in lockdown together.
Now, Galvin has gone public with the pair’s romance on the Little Known Facts with Illana Levine podcast, saying: “Ben and I are dating.”
“I asked him this morning, I was like, are we allowed to talk about this? And he’s like ‘Don’t go into our nitty-gritty, but yeah, people can know,” Galvin went on.
“It’s still relatively new.”
Platt, who came out publicly last year and currently stars in Ryan Murphy’s The Polician on Netflix, appeared in hit Broadway stage show Dear Evan Hansen in the titular role between 2015-2017.
He was succeeded in the role by Galvin, who made his name as a gay teen in TV’s The Real O’Neals.
Platt and Galvin aren’t the first former Evan Hansens to get together, though (must be something in the water) – former show leads Taylor Trensch and Ben Levi Ross are also currently in a relationship.
Of that twist of fate, Galvin quipped: “I know it’s so incestuous. But it makes sense sense, like, we all went through the war together.
“We all feel very connected.”
