Former ‘Glee’ star Alex Newell serves sass in spade-loads on ‘Boy, You Can Keep It’ – WATCH

Unique is back with a bona fide banger.

By Will Stroude

After joining the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles to deliver that incredible Laura Dern tribute at the Film Indendent Spirit Awards last week, Alex Newell is back with a banger of a new single, ‘Boy, You Can Keep It’.

The 27-year-old singer, who starred as trans student Unique Adams on Glee from 2011-15, serves sass in spade-loads as he marks his return to pop music following stints on Broadway and on TV’s Empire.

Newell, who identifies as a gender nonconforming gay man, has established himself as one of Glee’s biggest post-show successes, scoring two UK Top Five hits as part of Clean Bandit’s ‘Stronger’ and Blond’s ‘All Cried Out’.
