Frankie Grande has announced he is engaged to boyfriend of two years Hale Leon.
The brother of ‘Positions’ singer Ariana Grande – who herself tied the knot only last month – shared the news to his two million fans on Instagram today.
The Celebrity Big Brother star’s elaborate proposal took place at LA’s virtual reality adventure venue Dreamscape yesterday.
“We both started crying tears of joy”
In an Instagram Story, Frankie and Hale showed off their engagement rings, as Frankie told fans: “”You guys! We’re engaged! Yay! It’s so exciting. I prosed to Hale in virtual reality!”
“It was insane,” said Hale. “I can’t even breath still.”
According to the Dreamscape Immersive website, the American entertainment and technology company “creates story-based full-roam virtual reality (VR) experiences which allow up to six people to simultaneously explore a virtual 3D environment, seeing fully rendered avatars of one another.”
“I’ve been working on it with Dreamscape for months now,” 38-year-old Frankie added. “It was magaical wasn’t it?”
“It was the best,” said famed Twitch user Hale, 28.

The VR proposal included a customised ‘Will you marry me?’ message and intergalactic fireworks, according to People.
Frankie told the outlet: “It was such a perfect, beautiful moment. Hale was completely surprised and we both started crying tears of joy. I have been working on proposing to him in virtual reality for over a year and it was ABSOLUTELY breathtaking for us both.”
