Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer wants Westeros to show some gay pride

By Umar Sarwar

Season six of one of the most popular TV series in the world has started, meaning 10 weeks of Game of Thrones madness has engulfed the globe once more. But even if you’re not one for a Westeros-branded mug or pillow, you can probably agree that the show’s LGBT content is well worth tuning in for.

During appearance on Heat Radio Natalie Dormer and host James Barr discussed, the obvious need for a King’s Landing Gay Pride parade.

The comments comes after season five saw the brother of Dormer’s character Margaery Tyrell, Loras (Finn Jones), arrested on buggery charges over his relationship with the late Renjly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony).

James Barr joked that he wanted to go launch a local branch of LGBT charity Stonewall in Westeros, and it seems Natalie agrees beyond a shade of doubt, even proposing a brand new makeover for the siblings’ home of King’s Landing.

“I’ll be right there with you. I’ll be right there with the rainbow flags,” she jokes.
