Gary Lucy left accidentally exposed during ‘Full Monty’ show

Gary Lucy apparently gave the audience more than they bargained for during a performance of The Full Monty last night (September 18).

The show’s grand finale calls for the male cast members to strip live on stage while their intimate parts are tactfully hidden by a selection of bright lights.

However, for the second time this week, the lights failed to work as planned, leaving the Footballer’s Wife actor and his castmates exposed onstage.

The production’s producer, David Pugh, said in a statement to the press:

“We apologise profusely to the audience for anything they saw that they shouldn’t have. We must remember the show is called The Full Monty, they do go the Full Monty, but we try to do it with a certain decorum. As from tomorrow we will be bringing in bigger lights. We have never had this problem before with the show in the West End but it is possible that this wonderful new cast have larger talents.”

One audience member, Karen McCaffrey, who brought her 14-year-old-daughter Scarlett to see the show, said of the technical malfunction: “We were having a great night out, having travelled miles to see the show but at the end we got more than we’d paid for – Scarlett certainly got answers to questions she’s been asking.”

A representative for Manchester’s Opera House, where The Full Monty is currently playing, said that no refunds were requested by members of the audience – and that there had been several re-bookings for the performance tomorrow night (September 20).

The Full Monty is due to tour the UK until next May, calling in at towns and cities including Liverpool, Glasgow, Nottingham, Bristol and Sheffield along the way.

Gary Lucy recently posed for a series of promo pictures for the production – check him out in varying states of undress (all tasteful though) here.
