Gay YouTube twins: ‘We’re proud of our dad for his reaction’
By Josh Haggis
YouTube twins Austin and Aaron Rhodes have admitted that they were surprised that their coming out video went viral.
The pair – known as The Rhodes Twins Bros – have almost 70,000 subscribers on the streaming site, where they post new videos of themselves discussing their lives, on-trend topics and their friends every Sunday.
The video, which saw the pair emotionally coming out to their father over the phone, has racked up over seven million views in less than a week. Watch it here.
“We didn’t make this with any intention for this to be viral,” Aaron told HuffPost. “I had no expectation. I just knew what we captured could reach people and inspire people.'”
“I’m so proud of that video and so proud of my dad for saying the things he did,” he added.
