Giorgio Moroder: ‘I’m working with Lady Gaga on her new album’
By Josh Haggis
Giorgio Moroder has revealed that he is working with Lady Gaga on her new album.
The legendary producer, who’s gearing up to release his first album in over twenty years, has told Popjustice that he has “five or six” tracks that he hopes the Poker Face singer will record for her upcoming fifth studio album.
“I was supposed to be in the studio with her a week ago, but I got a cold,” said the producer. “I’ll see her when I’m back. I have about five or six tracks, just basic ideas. Drums, keyboard, bass. I’m going to be surprised, I think – I don’t have a clue about the way she’s recording. Will she play the piano? Will I?”
He went on to say that he hopes to persuade Gaga to appear on his new album, saying: “This is for her new album – that’s the intention. I was hoping that maybe I can convince her to have one of the songs for my album. If I could convince her, well that would be incredible.”
Moroder, whose new album will feature collaborations with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Charli XCX, Sia, Mikky Ekko, Foxes and Matthew Koma, recently revealed that his song with Britney Spears is a cover of a famous track – find out more here.
