‘Glee’ star gets dropped by record label
By Nick Levine
‘s Naya Rivera has been dropped by her record label.
Rivera – who plays gay character Santana on the hit US show- is no longer signed to Columbia Records, US music website Billboard has confirmed.
Rivera has only released one single to date, Sorry featuring her then fiancé Big Sean, which failed to chart on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart last autumn.
Her castmate Lea Michele released her debut album Louder last month (March) and saw it debut at number four in the US and number 16 in the UK.
Earlier this week, Rivera was forced to deny she has been fired from Glee after it was reported that she had been involved in a long-running feud with Michele, who plays Rachel, and was jealous of the attention she receives.
Naya Rivera has appeared on Glee since it premiered in 2009 – and has featured heavily since season two, when she became a regular character.
