Graham Norton quits Twitter
Have you ever been trolled? Received a whole lot of of acidic, hateful comments? Death-threats even? If so, there’s a big chance it all happened Twitter. And some people, it seems, have had enough.
Following in the footsteps of fellow British legend Stephen Fry, 52-year-old comedian and presenter Graham Norton has announced he’s quitting the social media platform, leaving his 1.2 million followers scrolling aimlessly across his silent profile.
The sad news was revealed by Norton on his BBC Radio 2 show over the weekend.
”I have kind of fallen out of love with Twitter. It’s not a happy world so I have left it”, the Eurovision host revealed. “I prefer Facebook because I have real friends there who agree with me. But on Twitter, not so much.”
Norton’s Twitter profile isn’t totally a dead zone, though: The account will apparently continue to relay his advice to readers by re-sharing his Telegraph column to readers, so no excuses to be missing out.
Come back soon, Graham.
