Griffin on ‘Fashion Police’: ‘I’ll continue Joan’s take-no-prisoners style’
By Josh Haggis
Kathy Griffin teased what tone E!’s Fashion Police will during her reign as host during a US morning show appearance this week.
The US comic is taking over as the main presenter for the fourth season, following the death of former host Joan Rivers last year (September). Watch her in the show’s latest trailer here.
During an interview on The Today Show, Griffin revealed that she intends to continue the “take no prisoners” style that Joan was known for.
“I will continue, if nothing else, in her fearless style of taking no prisoners,” she explained. “But our styles were different. I’m a different human being, I’m more improvisational and I don’t know what I’m going to say and neither does anyone else on the panel.”
On the upcoming season, Griffin will be joined by new co-host, celebrity fashion stylist and reality TV star Brad Goreski, who recently got engaged to his boyfriend of 13 years – click here to find out more.
Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic will be returning for the new season of the show, which premiered in 2010 and has gone on to become a major ratings success, being extended from a 30-minute to a 60-minute programme in 2012.
Fashion Police returns to E! on Monday, January 12.
