Gus Kenworthy on friendship with Colton Underwood: ‘He’s a really sweet guy’
The guys have been partying in Provincetown, says Gus.

Gus Kenworthy has discussed his blossoming friendship with Colton Underwood in a new interview – and revealed they’ve been partying together in the LGBTQ capital of Provincetown, Massachusetts.
The pair’s relationship first emerged after The Bachelor star Colton came out publicly as gay in a Good Morning America interview earlier this year.
It was subsequently reported they were working together on an upcoming Netflix reality series, which will see Gus serve as Colton’s ‘gay guide’. (The idea quickly prompted controversy – more on which in a moment).
“I think he made a lot of new friends”
Discussing their friendship, 29-year-old pro skier Gus told OK! this week: “Colton is a really sweet guy.
“I just wanted to try and help him make new friends, and my group of friends already had this trip to Provincetown planned.”

The former Attitude cover star added: “I extended an invite to him, and he came for a few days — and it was fun for him, I think, to get to be around other gay people.
“I think he made a lot of new friends. I think he enjoyed himself.”

“I never want people to think that I’m coming out to change the narrative”
A Change.org petition to get Gus and Colton’s show cancelled has attracted over 35,000 signatures following reports Colton’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph filed a restraining order against him in 2020.
She alleged he stalked her and placed a tracking device on her car. She dropped the restraining order against him with prejudice two months later.
Addressing the matter in a recent interview with Variety, Colton said: “I did not physically touch or physically abuse Cassie in any way, shape or form. I never want people to think that I’m coming out to change the narrative, or to brush over and not take responsibility for my actions, and now that I have this gay life that I don’t have to address my past as a straight man.
“Controlling situations to try to grasp at any part of the straight fantasy that I was trying to live out was so wrong.”
