Gwyneth Paltrow responds to Martha Stewart shade

Gwyneth Paltrow has responded to the recent shade she was dealt by Martha Stewart.

In an interview last month (September), the American domestic goddess criticised Paltrow for launching her lifestyle website Goop – and said: “If she was confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.” Read Martha Stewart’s comments in full here.

During an interview at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit on Tuesday (October 7), the Oscar-winning actress shrugged off Stewart’s criticism, TIME reports.

“No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I’m shocked and devastated,” Paltrow said, jokingly. “I’ll try to recover. If I’m really honest, I’m so psyched that she sees us as competition. I really am.”
