Helen Wood has won Big Brother: Power Trip.

The 27-year-old salon manager from Bolton beat Derry-born model Ashleigh Coyle, 18, into second place in the live final on Channel 5 tonight (August 15).

A controversial figure, the outspoken Wood left the house to a mixture of cheers and boos from the crowd. “I’m completely over the top,” she admitted during her exit interview with Emma Willis. “I can be aggressive as well, when I’m wound up.”

Wood also said that she “never thought in a million years I could win [the show]”.

The last remaining gay housemate, 23-year-old journalist Christopher Hall, came in third.

Screen Shot 2014-08-15 at 21.54.32During his time in the house, Hall enjoyed an ongoing flirtation with fellow housemate Mark Byron, a 24-year-old visual merchandiser from Liverpool.

“He’s just one of a kind,” Hall said of Byron during his exit interview with Emma Willis.

“It just what it is,” he replied, when asked about the nature of the pair’s relationship. “I’d rather have him as a mate than have us fight all the time. Sometimes I felt like we brought out the worst in each other.”

Meanwhile, the new series of Celebrity Big Brother is due to follow on from Big Brother: Power Trip almost immediately, with launch night taking place this Monday (August 18) on Channel 5. Famous names rumoured to be taking part this time around include Conchita Wurst, Paul Daniels and Debbie Mcgee, and White Dee from Benefits Street.
