‘Hollyoaks’: First look at John Paul at Ste’s Christmas wedding

has unveiled the first pictures from its upcoming gay wedding.
Ste Hay and John Paul McQueen will tie the knot in a festive ceremony, which will be aired on Channel 4 and E4 next week.
Earlier this month, the soap aired the couple’s engagement scenes, which saw Ste (Kieron Richardson) propose to John Paul (James Sutton) after leaving rehab.
Speaking about the wedding with All About Soap, Richardson said: “It’s been an honour. We don’t usually do anything special at Christmas like other soaps, but this year we have an hour-long special.
“The beauty about it being on Christmas Eve is that you want to laugh and smile at that time of year, and that is exactly what you’ll get.
“The wedding is big and camp – James Sutton and I are even getting dressed up as Geri Halliwell in Union Jack dresses. It’s going to be good fun to watch, hopefully!”

Richardson described the storyline as a “massive honour” and admitted that he had been “uneducated” about HIV until he had to carry out research for the plot.
Ste and John Paul’s wedding will feature in an hour-long Hollyoaks special on Christmas Eve on Channel 4, with a first-look screening on E4 on December 23.
