Hollyoaks’ John Paul embarks on steamy affair with cousin’s husband

By Will Stroude

Oh dear, looks like things are about to get a bit complicated for Hollyoaks’ John Paul McQueen (and a whole lot better for us).

Viewers have recently seen the iconic soap character – played by James Sutton – embark on an affair with his cousin Porsche’s husband Lockie Campbell (Nick Rhys), and things are kicking up a gear in tonight’s episode (July 17).

After Porsche rebuffs Lockie’s advances, he heads off to Hollyoaks High, where John Paul works as a teacher, and things quickly heat up between the pair while they’re alone in the headmaster’s office, DigitalSpy reports.

But after Porsche (Twinnie Lee Moore) ends up at the school to see her younger sister Cleo and overhears Lockie’s voice, will she discover her husband and cousin’s betrayal?

Well let’s be honest, she undoubtedly will at some point, but here’s hoping this storyline is strung out for as long as possible because it is HAWT.

James Sutton has also revealed to DigitalSpy that the affair means a lot more to John Paul – who split with his husband Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) back in May – than just sex.

“On paper John Paul has got really strong morals, but he’s also a romantic – he wants love and he wants passion,” Sutton said. “He makes really dumb choices and this is another dumb choice!

“John Paul is searching for love constantly. He thought Ste was ‘the one’, but he wasn’t. Now he actually falls in love with Lockie. It’s not just sex for him – he does fall for Lockie.”

Meanwhile, viewers recently got an eyeful of Charlie Clapham’s character Ziggy Roscoe, after the Hollyoaks village hunk stripped down to a thing for a male dance troupe audition – click here to check it out.

Hollyoaks airs these scenes tonight (July 17) at 7pm on E4 and on Monday (July 20) at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
