‘House of Cards’ actress Elizabeth Norment dies, aged 61

star Elizabeth Norment has died at the age of 61.
The actress – who starred alongside Kevin Spacey in the US remake of the political drama – passed away at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York on October 13.
Norment starred as Nancy Kaufberger, the executive secretary of Spacey’s character Frank Underwood, in 14 episodes of the drama.
Spacey paid tribute to his co-star on Twitter on Tuesday (October 28), posting:
RIP Elizabeth Norment. We all loved her and she leaves a void in all of us here at HoC’s.

Meanwhile, showrunner Beau Willimon said: “Everyone at House of Cards is deeply saddened by Elizabeth’s passing. She was a talented actress, a warm soul and a good friend to us all.”
As well as appearing in House of Cards, Norment appeared in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Runaway and The Woman in Red.
The actress is survived by her mother, three sisters, her brother and six nieces and nephews.
