Ian ‘H’ Watkins called for Strictly Come Dancing to introduce same-sex dance partners after Dancing on Ice exit.
Over the weekend, the Steps star joined his professional dance partner Matt Evers on the ice and although giving all they had, the couple – who are the first same-sex couple in the show’s history – faced a dance off.
All four judges decided to save Ben and Carlotta over the singer and Evers.
And during his exit interview, H called for Strictly Come Dancing to follow the ITV show and introduce same-sex couples.
He said: “Thank you ITV for championing visibility and diversity. Not the dance group!
“Strictly, you’re next.”
Evers then added: “To have the first same sex partnership, it’s just been absolutely incredible.
“43 years old and I’m still expanding my vocabulary. It’s just amazing.”
