James Hill says of course he’s happy to share a bed with a gay guy

It’s been a bittersweet day here at Attitude. Though our bromantic boys James and Austin may have come first and second respectively in last night’s Celebrity Big Brother grand final, our elation has been dented somewhat by the fact that we can say goodbye to nightly dry-humping, half-naked wrestling and tighty-whitey-clad visits to the Diary Room. Sadness.
Even sadder though is the fact that James has already been forced to deny media speculation that the pair’s horseplay and banter was anything other than platonic, with some reporters seemingly struggling to get their heads around a straight boy being comfortable with his sexuality – and with having a gay BFF.
The former Apprentice star explained to The Mirror that he’s comfortable enough with his sexuality to be able to mess around with his gay friends like he would any others, insisting that – duh – the pair are “just good friends”.
“I get where people are coming from but I am very sure of my sexuality,” James told the paper.
“Austin is gay and I am straight. I understand. But it doesn’t bother me at all. I like Austin and we respect each other. He never once crossed that line.
“In American culture, straight guys would never share a bed with a gay guy. But I genuinely do not care what your sexuality is. Gay, bi, straight, lesbian, whatever.”
He added: “At the end of the day, I know who I am and I am happy to share a bed with a gay guy.”
