Janelle Monáe will be headlining New York City Pride Island 2020.
The ‘Tightrope’ singer was announced on Friday to be the headliner for this year’s New York City Pride on June 27.
Monáe will be joining the likes of Australian pop star Betty Who, Luísa Sonza, and Pussy Riot as well as DJs Coco and Breezy.
“Pride means so much to so many of us, and to have the opportunity to share my live performance during Pride has always been a dream,” said Monáe in a statement.
“Celebrating Pride in NYC is a rite of passage for a queer person. I am grateful for the community it creates, and I can’t wait to party with everyone.”
