Jennifer Hudson’s new video a gay marriage tear-jerker
By Will Stroude
Jennifer Hudson has debuted the video for her latest single I Still Love You, and it’s melting our cold cold hearts.
The clip tells an uplifting tale of love triumphing over homophobia, as a gay couple prepare to tie the knot, and one’s estranged father decides to show his support for his son and makes a last-minute dash to the ceremony.
IT’S JUST THE WIND OKAY.
Hudson says the song is “about love, and everyone should have love and have the right to love who they want to love.”
She adds: “I thought it would be powerful to take a concept like trying to find your equality in love no matter who you love.”
The single is the latest to be lifted from the 33-year-old Oscar and Grammy winner’s third studio album JHUD.
