Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj are on course to top the UK’s Official Singles Chart this Sunday (September 28) with their collaborative effort Bang Bang.

Bang Bang, already a top ten hit in the US and Australia, leads the midweek update from the Official Charts Company today (September 24). The current Number One, Changing by Sigma and Paloma Faith, finds itself right behind in second place, while Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off is at Number Three.

If Bang Bang holds onto the top spot until Sunday, it will become the third UK Number One for Jessie J following 2011’s Price Tag and the same year’s Domino. Ariana Grande previously topped the UK’s Official Singles Chart earlier this year with Problem, while Nicki Minaj has never featured on a UK Number One single before.

Meanwhile, Cilla Black’s classic Bacharach and David-penned hit Anyone Who Had a Heart could be about to return to charts following the success of Cilla, ITV’s biopic starring Sheridan Smith. The track, originally a Number One back in 1964, finds itself at Number 46 in today’s midweek update.

Over on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are just outside the top ten with Cheek to Cheek, their duets album, which sits at Number Eleven in the midweek update.

Jessie J debuted her follow-up to Bang Bang on Monday (September 22) – the track is called Burnin’ Up and you can listen to it here.
