Our most beloved gay wizard might make a come back in the Harry Potter spin-off JK Rowling confirms.
JK Rowling’s new spin off film Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, is set to release this November and stars Eddie Redmayne. Sadly the film is set in 1920s New York which is long before the likes of Harry, Ron and Hermione where born so they won’t be featured in the film.
Don’t worry too much though as there has been lots of rumours and speculation that a young Dumbledore could be featured as he would have been alive around this time. In fact according to Albus Dumbledore’s fact file on Pottermore he was born in 1881.
In a live-stream the producer of Fantastic Beasts, David Heyman, revealed: “we do mention Dumbledore and he features in a wonderful scene between Colin [Farrell] and Eddie [Redmayne].
“Grindelwald does feature in the background and is going to become a much more prominent feature moving forward.”
Then JK Rowling hinted: “I can tell you that we do talk about Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
“I’m not allowed to say too much but I can say one thing… we were doing some script sessions the other day, and we always knew it would be more than one movie. But I’ve now done the plotting properly, and we’re pretty sure it’s going to be five movies.”
For now we will just have to sit and wait to find out how much of a role Dumbledore will play in the new movies and who will play him. For one we can’t wait see see Dumbledore in his dark days.
