JK Rowling’s brilliant response to a fan asking why Dumbledore is gay

By Josh Haggis

JK Rowling has responded in the best possible way to a fan who asked her why she chose to make Harry Potter character Albus Dumbledore gay.

Rowling first revealed that the much-loved wizard was gay almost a decade ago in 2007, and has since gone on to defend his sexuality numerous times in Twitter exchanges with both fans and critics.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, another fan who still hadn’t come to terms with Dumbledore’s sexuality decided to tweet the author explaining that despite her efforts she just “can’t see him” as gay.

Check out Rowling’s on-point – and totally shady – response below:

Last year, Rowling fired back at a fan who claimed to have stopped being a fan of her fantasy novels when he found out about Dumbledore’s sexuality – find out more here.
