Jodie Harsh samples Stephanie Mills on new summer Pride banger ‘Never Knew (L.O.V.E)’

Pride season 2020 might not be looking quite how we imagined it six months ago, but with Attitude Pride at Home set to kick off this Saturday (21 June) and socially-distanced park meets now a part of life, we’re finally ready to enjoy the sunshine with an uplifting anthem or three.
Lucky, then, that the legendary Jodie Harsh has dropped her uplifting new summer Pride banger ‘Never Knew (L.O.V.E)’, which is hitting the spot nicely this week.
The effervescent dance track samples Stephanie Mills’ 1980 disco-soul classic ‘Never Knew Love Like This Before’, which recently enjoyed a renewed spate of popularity after featuring in an emotional episode of Pose season two.

If you can keep it together long enough though (or simply dance through the tears), ‘Never Knew (L.O.V.E)’ is the perfect update on the song for 2020.
Jodie’s new single comes ahead of her upcoming DJ set as part of Attitude Pride at Home this Sunday (21 June).
The legendary club kid will be joining stars including Gigi Goode, Nick Grimshaw, Asia O’Hara and Amanda Lepore for Henry Holland’s Drag Brunch, which will be streaming live on our YouTube channel from 12pm BST.
With sick’ning performances, a high-stakes charity raffle and a cocktail-making masterclass with Drag Race UK’s Baga Chipz, proceeds will go to Brighton-based charity Frontline Aids – it’s going to be one not to miss.
