John Barrowman ‘in talks’ to revive Torchwood
John Barrowman has revealed he’s ‘in talks’ to bring Torchwood back.
The sci-fi show, which ended in 2011, is a spin-off from Doctor Who and follows the adventures of a team of alien hunters.
According to Zap2It, Barrowman revealed at Comic-Con that he was “working very hard” to bring the sci-fi show back to television.
“I have a phone conversation on Monday to see how we can get it back on television.”
He then stated that he was serious, “The fans know me well enough, I’m only going to say it if I mean it and believe it.”
The show might have ended but it hasn’t stopped the Arrow star from continuing its legacy as he and sister Carole co-wrote a Torchwood comic together. The pair hope that the comic will spark interest in a return to television.
“If you really believe in Torchwood, get the comic,” Barrowman told fans. “It’s like a kickstarter. If you buy the comic, you’ll show your support. We need Captain Jack back on the screens!”
Will it happen? We’ll have to have to wait and find out.
