Joshua Bassett has issued a statement clearing up speculation on his sexuality, saying: “It’s OK to still be figuring out who you are.”
The update follows a viral “coming out video” in which the Disney star expressed glowing admiration for ‘Golden’ singer Harry Styles.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actor Joshua said in the video: “He’s cool, he’s just cool. Who doesn’t think Harry Styles is cool? He’s hot, you know? Very charming too. Lots of things. I guess this is also my coming out video.”
“Love who you are shamelessly”
In a Twitter update posted last night, Joshua said: “My entire life people have told me my sexuality. People have shamed me for things they know nothing about. I want to say thank you to those of you who stand for love and acceptance.”
The 20-year-old continued: “Toxicity, hatred, and negativity say less about the subject, but say for more about those who spew it.
