Justin Bieber has invited a young gay fan struggling with her faith to his church.
The ‘Sorry’ singer was filmed telling a fan his church in New York would “love” to have her as part of the congregation after hearing about her struggle to find an accepting relgious space.
In a two-minute video shared to Twitter shows Bieber, 23, interacting with fans after leaving Hillsong Church in New York.
The fan in question can be heard asking: “Isn’t your church, like, really inclusive?”
She continues: “I’ve been trying to find a place that’s inclusive of everybody, because I came out as queer, like, not long ago, so I’m trying to find a nice place. Because no one is nice. Everyone is so homophobic.”
The girl’s story clearly moves Bieber, who replies: “Yeah, that breaks my heart for you. I’m so sorry. That’s not OK.”
The pop superstar then invites the young fan to his church, telling her: “If you ever want to come to any of the services, any of them would love to have you. We’d love to have you in there, you’re more than welcome to come any time.”
