Justin Bieber pays tribute to Pulse attack victims during his Orlando concert

On Thursday (June 30) Justin Bieber stopped by at Orlando for his Purpose World Tour and paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting, which left 49 dead, and the late Voice star, Christina Grimmie.

Grimmie, a former participant of the Voice US was at a fan-meeting in Orlando when she was shot, two days before Pulse club attack.

According to Digital Spy, Bieber dedicated his hit song ‘Purpose’ to Grimmie and the Orlando victims.

As he sang, a screen behind Bieber listed the names of the 49 victims and, at the end, also listed Grimmie’s.

He said, “You guys have been in my heart. I’ve just been thinking of the families and really feeling for them. It’s hard to really be happy in a time like this so it means a lot to see you guys out here, smiling.”

“It’s no joke. It’s tough. This is such a moment for us to be together. We have to continue to be strong. So much love goes out to all the families, so much love. But let’s also, let’s just celebrate. They can’t take down Orlando.”

Prior to the Orlando show, Bieber took to Twitter and used the hashtag ‘#OrlandoStrong’ to reassure his fans that he wouldn’t cancel the concert after the Pulse attack.

He wrote, “For all those asking no I won’t cancel the Orlando show. I stand with Orlando in support. Love you Orlando! #OrlandoStrong.”

Later in the night, Justin took to Twitter once more and thanked his fans for the show.
