Kelly Rowland to play Donna Summer in new movie?

Kelly Rowland is said to be “campaigning” to play Donna Summer in a new film.
The forthcoming film, Spinnin’ Gold, is a biopic of Neil Bogart, the founder of Casablanca Records, who was responsible for launching the careers of music icons including Summer and Bad Reputation singer Joan Jett.
Justin Timberlake has been cast as Bogart in the Spike Lee-directed film, and Rowland is apparently vying for the role of Summer, Page Six reports.
Rowland has fuelled the rumours by sharing a picture of herself styled as the late Queen of Disco on Instagram – accompanied by the caption: “#tbt #DonnaSummer-ish #LovetoLoveYa”.
Donna Summer died in May 2012 following a battle with lung cancer. During her career she notched up a succession of iconic disco hits including I Feel Love, Hot Stuff, Love to Love You Baby and Bad Girls.
