British Killing Eve fans rejoice, because the second series of the sexually-charged spy thriller is right around the corner.
BBC One has announced that Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer’s captivating dance of death will resume on these shores in just 10 days time, with the series two premiere set to air at 9.15pm on Saturday 8 June.
After US viewers saw the Golden Globe-winning show’s second season come to a climax last week, British viewers will finally be able to see the (psycho)drama unfold as MI5 agent Eve Polastri (Oh) attempts to track down ruthless assassin Villanelle (Comer) following the shock events of the series one finale, which – SPOILER ALERT – saw Eve stab her psychotic nemesis/soulmate in Paris.

There’s also good news for those that can’t wait for each episode to air on Saturday nights, because the entire series is also set to debut in full on iPlayer to coincide with the premiere.
Based on the Codename Villanelle novella series by Luke Jennings, the first series picked up a raft of award wins and nominations, including a BAFTA for Comer and a Golden Globe for Oh.
As the kids would say, ‘deserved x’.
While Call the Midwife’s Emerald Fennell has taken over writing duties from Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge for the show’s second series, fans will be reassured to know that Killing Eve has continued to attract rave reviews since debuting Stateside last month.
A new BBC trailer released last week has given us another look at what to expect as Eve’s obession with Villanelle continues to grow in the wake of her narrow escape at the end of the last series.
