The third season of the hit BBC series Killing Eve will be returning this year.
BBC One has confirmed that Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer’s captivating dance of death will return to our screens for a third instalment this year.
Based on the Villanelle novel series, penned by Luke Jennings, the first two seasons followed the obsessively relationship that the two female characters had for one another.
However, at the end of the second season of the the (psycho)drama, we saw Comer’s Villanelle shockingly shoot Oh’s titular character Eve Polastri after a dramatic showdown.
Now, the BBC has confirmed that the third season will arrive in 2020 after advertising this year’s schedule.
In the trailer, there is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scene where we see Villanelle staring straight at the camera.
Although this doesn’t give anything away about the plot of the upcoming series, we cannot wait to see Eve and Villanelle confront each other once again.
Suzanne Heathcote has been announced as showrunner, taking over from Emerald Fennell.
Other series set to air this year include His Dark Materials, Line of Duty, Little Mix The Search, Our Girl and The Greatest Dancer – featuring our brand new cover star Todrick Hall.
