Kim Cattrall teases Queer as Folk reboot with clips from set
The reboot is expected to air later this year.

Kim Cattrall has begun filming for the eagerly anticipated Queer as Folk reboot.
Posting a boomerang to her Instagram account on Wednesday (9 February) the Sex and the City alum can be seen outside a trailer with curlers in her hair and the caption “Let the day commence”.
The reboot of Russell T. Davies’ iconic show will centre around a group of friends living in New Orleans in the United States, whose lives are impacted by a tragedy.

Last weekend, Cattrall shared another mysterious clip on social media with the hashtag #QAF and a series of musical emojis that showed her in a recording studio.

Deadline reported last year that Kim would be playing “a martini-soaked, high society Southern debutante with trailer park roots.”
Kim was announced to be taking part in the show last November. The Golden Globe-winner who can be seen in Hulu’s How I Met Your Father (a follow-up to How I Met Your Mother) – and notably passed on the SATC reboot And Just Like That…
Speaking of the new show, Russell T Davies told Attitude at the 2021 Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, that it’s: “it’s much more modern [than the original], it’s ferociously 2022. It’s got much more [of] today’s issues in it, trans characters, diverse characters. It’s really, really thrilling and I’m excited.”
The original show focused on the lives of three gay men in Manchester’s Canal Street and ran for two series until from 1999-2000. A US remake ran for five seasons from 2000-2005.
The reboot, which is being produced by Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, will consist of eight episodes.
Last week it was announced that the deaf actor and model, Nyle DiMarco had joined the reboot, which is expected to air later this year.
