Kylie and Dannii to team up for iconic 80s cover song
Kylie Minogue has recorded a duet with sister Dannii for a disco-themed Christmas album.
Kylie’s next LP – to be released in the coming months – is set to set to be a collection of camp festive covers, including Wham’s iconic Last Christmas reimagined as a duet with sister Dannii, The Mirror reports.
The sisters have been meeting secretly in London to record a series of duets for the albums’ December release. The siblings seized the opportunity to reunite musically last month, when Dannii, 43, headed to England to perform at G-A-Y and was the headlining act at Manchester Pride. It is the first time the pair has collaborated since 2008, when they recorded a camp cover of Abba’s The Winner Takes It All for the Beautiful People soundtrack.
The Christmas album follows Kylie leaving her record label of 15 years, Parlophone, and ditching Jay Z’s agency Roc Nation, after middling sales of her most recent album, 2014’s Kiss Me Once.
