Warning: Spoilers for the All Stars 6 final follow.

The latest queen to enter the Drag Race Hall of Fame, Kylie Sonique Love, has addressed THAT stumble in the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6, which she of course managed to turn into a glorious and already-iconic recovery.

As one of the top four queens, Kylie was asked to lipsync for her life individually, as did her fellow contestants Ginger Minj, Ra’jah O’Hara, and Eureka!

But halfway through her lipsync to Lady Gaga’s ‘Stupid Love’, Kylie tripped on her discarded boa, which briefly looked like it could have ended her chance to snatch the crown.

“Oh my GOD!!!!”

Retweeting a clip of the dramatic pearl-clutching moment Kylie explained what went down. Literally.

“Oh my GOD!!!! I slipped on my boa and my foot got caught in my dress, I seen [sic] everything going in slow motion and what [I] learned in gymnastics was when you fall you roll out of it, and make it look good! I love y’all so much for the support I am honored to be your new queen! TBC”

And fair play! After rolling out of the fall, Kylie, like a true professional, carried on her performance as if it had all been part of the plan from the beginning. Once that happened it was fairly clear who was winning (and deservedly so!)

The finale saw the four remaining queens write and record their own verses for RuPaul’s new song ‘This Is Our Country’, which featured US country legend, Tanya Tucker. Following the performance, the queens had the final runway (category is: All Star Hall of Fame eleganza extravaganza) before lip-syncing.

In winning Kylie has made herstory as the first transwoman to win the US show and the second in any Drag Race franchise after Angele Anang won Drag Race Thailand in 2019!

In a recent interview with Attitude, Kylie revealed she only had $200 in her bank account when she got the call to be on All Stars 6. She said: “I was poor. I had no work. I had no money coming in. I was getting ready to move back home with my family. Little things like that, then I got the call and l was like, alright girl, we’ve had less than this, let’s make it work.”

Congratulations Kylie! And congrats to all the queens for making it to the finale!
