If you thought Lady Gaga’s celebration of Born This Way’s tenth anniversary was over following last weekend’s ‘Born This Way Day’ festivities in West Hollywood, well, you’d be wrong.
Yep, Gaga has left fans gagging once more after announcing that she’s set to release a special 10th anniversary edition of her acclaimed 2011 record next month.
Set for release on June 18, the Born This Way The Tenth Anniversary will include all-new packaging and six reimagined versions of songs from the album created by artists representing and advocating for the LGBTQ community – as well as the 14 original tracks.
The first cover – a reworked version of ‘Judas’ by US rapper Big Freedia – has already been released to coincide with the announcement, with the artists covering other classic songs set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
“Judas was my favorite song when it came out originally, so I really wanted to cover it. I am beyond excited that it’s the first to drop from this project!” says Big Freedia.

“To me, Judas is a love song about when someone does you dirty. I’ve sure had my experience with that. Who can’t relate?”
As well as Big Freedia’s version of ‘Judas’, Born This Way The Tenth Anniversary will also feature the following tracks, covered by as-yet-unnamed artists: ‘Marry the Night’, Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)’, ‘Yoü and I’. ‘The Edge of Glory’ and ‘Born This Way (The Country Road Version)’
