Lady Gaga performs for homeless LGBT+ youth over Thanksgiving weekend – WATCH
While we were all busy spending money we don’t have on slightly reduced gadgets we don’t need, Mother Monster was spending her Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend giving disadvantaged LGBT+ teenagers something to smile about.
On Friday (November 25), Gaga swung past New York City’s Ali Forney Center, a refuge and drop-in center for homeless LGBT+ youth, to give a special performance for some of the young people who use their services.
Taking to Twitter, the 30-year-old star revealed she bought the teens gifts and led group meditation.

Before wowing her audience with a heartfelt rendition of ‘Million Reasons’ from her latest album Joanne, Gaga spoke about the feel-good effects of being kind to one another.
Claiming that kindness can “prevent ageing”, she said: “It lowers our blood pressure to be kind to one another. It’s called oxytocin, it’s something that affects the heart, it’s an emotional warmth that you feel when you’re kind to someone. So it’s actually called ‘the helper’s high’.”
She continued: “I’m here today, not because I had to excruciatingly pull time out of my schedule to be here. I’m here because I want to be here. And I’m here because I want this to affect other people around the world and remind them that when they’re kind, it not only makes the other person feel good, but it makes me feel good too.”
