Lady Gaga reveals release date and title of new album

After months of anticipation, Lady Gaga has finally revealed the title and release date of her upcoming fifth studio album.
Almost a week after releasing the its lead single ‘Perfect Illusion’, the 30-year-old superstar confirmed further details about the long-awaited record during an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 this evening (September 15).
Entitled Joanne, the album will be released worldwide on October 21st.
The record is named after her father’s late sister, who passed away when he was just 19 years old, and with whom Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – shares a middle name.
“I’ve had it inside me for so long”, Gaga said of the album’s title.
Explaining that Joanne will be fully finalised in the next 48 hours, Gaga revealing that the standard edition will likely include 11 tracks, with 14 appearing on the deluxe edition.
“Don’t quote me on that”, she added.
