Six short months after the release of A Star Is Born, and 600 deliveries of the phrase “there could be 100 people in the room…” later, Lady Gaga is already looking to her next era.
Following a whirlwind six months which has seen her land a Best Actress Oscar nomination, an Oscar win for ‘Best Original Song’ and subsequently her first US Billboard Number One in eight years with the soaring ‘Shallow’, Gaga is ready to leave her winsome movie star persona behind and return to her bread and butter: namely, snatchings wigs through the medium of pop music.
In response to pregancy rumours swirling on social media this week, Mother Monster revealed that the only thing she’s currently ‘expecting’ is her sixth studio album.

Confirming that she’s already back at work on the follow-up to 2016’s Joanne, Gaga wrote: “Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6”.
While there’s no word on when the due date for #LG6 will be, we do know that Gaga’s been spotted in the studio in recent months with some of the big-name producers behind some of her biggest hits.
As well as DJ White Shadow, who previusly worked on 2011’s Born This Way and 2013’s ArtPop, the ‘Bad Romance’ singer has been recording with producer de jour BloodPop, who she previously collaborated with on Joanne.
That’s not to say Gaga has been playing it safe as she enters the second decade of her career: She’s also been pictured in the studio with big electronic names like Boys Noize (Kelis, The Black Eyed Peas, Scissors Sisters) and Sophie (Charli XCX, Kim Petras).
Will this mean a return to Ms Germanotta’s ‘Just Dance’ electro-pop roots? Based the current lewks and feels being delivered in her Las Vegas ‘Enigma’ residency, we’d say the signs are good…
