Lady Gaga takes Piers Morgan to task after he questions mental health and rape claims
By Will Stroude
It only took a matter of days after Lady Gaga took the brave step of revealing that she lives with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder for journalist/troll Piers Morgan to attack.
The journalist and TV presenter, who has developed a habit of making unfounded criticisms of female celebrities for attention, took to twitter last week to claim that Gaga’s admission was “vain-glorious nonsense,” arguing that only “soldiers returning from battlefields” can develop PTSD.
“It angers me when celebrities start claiming ‘PTSD’ about everything to promote themselves,” he added.
No, soldiers returning from battlefields do.
Enough of this vain-glorious nonsense. https://t.co/WR2ODolv8v— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 10, 2016
I come from a big military family.
It angers me when celebrities start claiming 'PTSD' about everything to promote themselves. https://t.co/IeSiGQkOjb— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 10, 2016
He even suggested that Gaga was lying about being a rape survivor, saying, “I wouldn’t automatically believe anything either Madonna or Lady Gaga claimed about their lives.”
I don't think all claims of rape should be necessarily accepted as fact without proper criminal investigation, do you? https://t.co/ogFjSUmgTU

Resisting the temptation to snap back – and honestly, nobody would blame her – Gaga proceeded to reply to the former Daily Mirror editor saying that she “would love to share” information on why women don’t report rape, before adding that she’d also like to discuss PTSD with him, insisting that it’s “not just a ‘military’ disorder.”
She then challenged Morgan to discuss the issues with her, saying, “I can handle u”.
@piersmorgan I've work w/ our VP Joe Biden on helping educate people about why women don't report, would love to share it w/ you some time.

@piersmorgan would also love to talk with you about PTSD, that it's not just a "military" disorder. There is a mental health youth epidemic.

@piersmorgan if anyone in your family suffers from it, I pray they have more good days than bad. It has affected me & my whole family.❤️✌️

@piersmorgan Let's do that & yes Mr. Morgan, I can handle u. Suprised you would question that. Was that the 1st question of our interview?
— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) December 13, 2016
Of course, Piers responded to Gaga’s respectful challenge by condescending her. “I rather admire Lady Gaga for agreeing to an interview after my criticisms,” she said.
“I’ll press my meat suit,” he added.
But Gaga remained unflappable, warning that she’ll take her story elsewhere if he continued to “shame” her.
if you continue to shame me in the process of kindly agreeing to interview w/ u I'll happily do the interview with someone else

Needless to say, we’re #TeamGaga.
