Lady Gaga tipped for Marvel ‘X-Men’ film role
And there are a ‘Million Reasons’ why the pop superstar would be perfect for it.
Lady Gaga could be set for more silver screen success amid reports that she is being eyed for a role in a new X-Men film.
The pop superstar has been tipped to play Emma Frost in Marvel’s planned reboot of the superhero franchise, according to We Got This Covered.
Portrayed by Mad Men’s January Jones in 2011’s X-Men: First Class, Frost is a telepath who also has the ability to shapeshift into organic diamond form (it really is a gem of a part).
Typically dressed in white, the character has a dry-as-sawdust wit and is also hard to read – and who can keep a ‘Poker Face’ better than Gaga?
After scooping a Golden Globe for American Horror Story: Hotel (2015), the singer received an Oscar nomination for her turn as Ally Maine in A Star is Born (2018).
Gaga, 34, lost out to Olivia Colman in the best actress category – but she did win best original song for ‘Shallow’.
She’ll next appear in a true crime drama as Patrizia Reggini, who was convicted of plotting the assassination of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci on the steps of his office in 1995.
Ridley Scott – who produced Gaga’s ‘Fame’ perfume advert – will direct.
