Lady Gaga ‘wanted to do more explicit stuff’ on AHS: Hotel

By Attitude Magazine

Seems Lady Gaga has thoroughly thrown herself into her upcoming role in American Horror Story: Hotel.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, AHS: Hotel creator Ryan Murphy praised the singer-turned-actress for her talents and her willingness to commit to the role of villainous bisexual hotel owner Elizabeth.

“She’s the only actress I think I’ve worked with who wanted to do more explicit stuff than was written,” said Murphy. “You write a foursome for her and you expect a lot of questions. She never did that.”

Yep, you read right – ‘foursome’. Seems Gaga and her beau on the show, Matt Bomer, have a romp with two other cast members during the season. Given the cast list this season includes everyone from Wes Bentley to Kathy Bates, from Naomi Campbell to Cheyenne Jackson, we’re quite excited to see who these two end up knocking boots with.

Despite having limited acting experience compared to some of the veteran actors on set, Gaga took no time to warm to the role, says Murphy.

“She showed up and she was wearing diamond pasties, a Band-Aid on her hoo-ha, heels, and a black veil that Alexander McQueen made for her on the day before his death. Then the crew gasped in delight and we were off!”

What an entrance! And it seemed it worked – a few weeks ago we brought you news of Gaga throwing a lavish party at her pad for the cast of the show.

While many people try to endear themselves to their coworkers by bringing in brownies or buying a round at the bar, Gaga went above and beyond. She threw a balls-to-the-wall pool party for her castmates, even going so far as to dye the pool blood red for the occasion.

As for Gaga’s character, ‘Elizabeth’?

“She owns the hotel and she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people,” says Murphy. “She has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode that plays out over the course of the season.”

AHS: Hotel premieres October 7 in the US.
