Lance Bass says *NSYNC preyed upon by industry paedophile as teens

Lance Bass has alleged that during his early days with *NSYNC, he and his bandmates were “inappropriately touched” by a “paedophile” who worked in the music industry.
The singer and TV personality – who joined the world-conquering boyband in 1995 as a 16-year-old and remained a member until the group’s disbandment in 2002 – made the shocking claims during an appearance on The Meredith Viera Show earlier this week, explaining that group would joke about the man’s behaviour because they “didn’t feel victimised” at the time.
During a discussion about sexual harrassment, Bass told the panel: “It happens to men too. It’s a two-way street. It has happened to me.
“When I was 16 or 17, when we started [in *NSYNC], there was someone who we worked with who was inappropriately touching us,” he recalled.
“I was aware – even then at 16 – that this guy was a paedophile and he was touching me oddly. I didn’t feel victimised at the time because I was very aware of it.
“With the guys we would talk about it,” he continued, referring to his former bandmates. “We would kind of joke about it – but it’s not a joking thing! As a kid, it was odd.
“I’m glad we were aware of it, and didn’t feel victimised at the time.”
Former *NSYNC members Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone are yet to comment on Bass’s claims.
