Lange to cover Lana Del Rey on ‘American Horror Story’
By Josh Haggis
Jessica Lange is to cover a Lana Del Rey song on American Horror Story: Freak Show, Ryan Murphy has revealed.
When a fan tweeted the American Horror Story creator earlier this week (October 1), telling him that Freak Show is looking too scary for her to watch, Murphy responded by telling the fan not to worry – and to hold out for a special musical number from the show’s Emmy-winning star.
Check out the tweet below.
@ttbradley Tina, don’t be afraid! The clown is scary, true. But don’t you wanna see Jessica Lange sing a Lana Del Rey song?

In the new season of American Horror Story, Lange will play a German expat called Elsa Mars, who manages one of the final freak shows in 1950s America. American Horror Story favourites Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts and Evan Peters also return in prominent roles.
The first full-length trailer for Freak Show was unveiled earlier this week — watch it here.
American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on the FX network in the US on October 8. In the UK, it will begin on October 21 on Fox.
